- Simple and effective.
- “Feminist: a person who believes in the social, political and economic equality of the sexes.”
- interpretation can be so wrong.
Culture does not make people. People make culture. If it is true that the full humanity of women is not our culture, then we can and must make it our culture.
- "a man who would be intimidated by me is exactly the kind of man i would have no interest in."
- This is too short for a book. It's really just an essay. Or in this case, a TED talk.
“Gender as it functions today is a grave injustice. I am angry. We should all be angry. Anger has a long histroy of bringing about positive change. But I am also hopeful, because I believe deeply in the ability of human beings to remake themselves for the better.”
- 009/2020
- stop teaching girl what they should do
- a real man is a feminist.
- Culture does not make people. People make culture.
- Feminist:a person who believes in the social, political and economic equality of the sexs.
- quite compelling. Anger has a long history of bringing about positive change. Culture does not make ppl. People make culture.
- Coincidentally listened to the audiobook and realized Beyoncé put part of Chimamanda's TED talk in Flawless!
“We say to girls, ‘You can have ambition, but not too much. You should aim to be successful but not too successful, otherwise you will threaten the man. If you are the breadwinner in your relationship with a man, pretend that you are not, especially in public, otherwise you will emasculate him.”
I am angry and we should be.
- Feminist: a person who believes in the social, political and economic equality of the sexes. This is what we should teach our students and how we raise our children.
- Feminism is for everybody!
- we must fix it, we must do better
- A nice feminist manifesto. Hardly anything new, but everything necessary.
- My own definition of a feminist is a man or woman who says, 'Yes, there's a problem with gender as it is today and we must fix it, we must do better.'
Lean In.
- Feminist: a person who believes in the social, political, economic equality of the sexes.
- the problem with gender is that it prescribes how we should be rather than recognizing how we are.
- My own definition of a feminist is a man or a woman who says, 'Yes. There is a problem with gender as it is today and we must fix it, we must do better'.
My own definition of a feminist is a man or a woman who says,'Yes, there's a problem with gender as it is today and we must fix it,we must do better'我们必须做的更好。
- 那我就是a happy Chinese feminist who does not hate men but hope they can do better!
- We should all read it, men and women.
- You don't have to be a 'Happy Feminist Who Don't Hate Men And Who Likes To Wear Lip Gloss And High Heels For Herself And Not For Men' to be a feminist. You don't even have to be a woman to be a feminist. As long as you believe in the social, political and economic equality of the sexes, you are a feminist. That's why we should all be feminists.
- Short but inspiring
- The problem with gender is that it prescribes how we should be rather than recognizing how we are.
"WE SHOULD ALL BE FEMINISTS."
- pro-women not anti man 启发性的
- Like literally.
- Why feminism not human rights? Because females are the ones suffering from gender issues. It's only fair that the solution to the problem acknowledge that.
- Aware of the unequal situation of gender. But I'm not brave enough to change it.
- Feminists are not braburning man haters who want to take over the world. They are women and men who are concerned about the severe inequality that persists between males and females in modern societies. If we are going to create a just society for all, we need feminism now more than ever.
- Brief but powerful. I always also think why the society could discriminate women, without them where our lives come from. How painful they are pregnant and have a baby no matter the gender is. Respect this group, please
- easy to read but a little bit shallow
My own definition of a feminist is a man or a woman who says, Yes. There is a problem with gender as it is today and we must fix it, we must do better.
- We should all be angry. Angry has a long history of bringing about positive change. We have evolved. But our ideas of gender have not evolved very much.
