- "Feminism is a movement to end sexism." "Masses of people think that feminism is always and only about women seeking to be equal to men. And a huge majority of these folks think feminism is anti-male. Their misunderstanding of feminist politics reflects the reality that most folks learn about feminism from patriarchal mass media. "
- postmodern feminism
- “If any female feels she need anything beyond herself to legitimate and validate her existence, she is already giving away her power to be self-defining, her agency.”
- A nice book for people like me who basically know little about feminism and even have misunderstandings towards it!
- 非常好读,thanks for writing this.
- illuminative.
- Feminism: love and mutual respect vs. domination and control. A clear and easily-reading book.
- Feminist revolution alone will not create such a world; we need to end racism, class elitism, imperialism. But it will make it possible for us to be fully self-actualized females and males able to create beloved community, to live together, realizing our dreams of freedom and justice, living the truth that we are all "created equal."
- anti-patriarchal doesn't mean pro-matriarchal, feminism doesn't mean male-excluded
