- css220
- All the greatness belongs to Smith.
- few chapters only
- So...long.....
- Division of labor causes huge productivity resulting in the emerge of stock. With invisible hands ,there should be limited intervention in nations.Read in Blinkist.
- Few people know that "invisible hand" appeared twice.
A rising river raises all boats, " or, floods all the houses if you don't happen to be in a boat. And here comes inequality.
- Miller you got it...
- The wealth of nations, not the wealth of people
- Book IV 1-2, 7-9 + Book V + Book I ch. 1-9 such a classic
- very simple and confident the way adam wrote the book. these are the principles that he had found out and had been following during his daily administrative works and he thought understanding these things could help his decision making process while increasing the efficiency of his works since he would be able to persuade others to do the things the way he wanted it. he would be successful in achieving his objectives as long as the opinions or principles are hard to prove either right or wrong by people related to his decisions, or in other words, he knew what all the others related are thinking and based on that, he proposed the ruling principle. we use the same techniques in our daily life, and we need to adjust that basic principle of ours with the surrounding knowledge level or scale people possess. at first the level was mostly in terms of physical power while later it takes in the intellectual part.
